Happy New Year!
All of this broohaha over the 50 Shades trilogy. Yes the
writer is making millions from it, and wouldn't we all like to. I read
the first chapter but it didn't grab me. And I personally find it
disturbing that so many female readers enjoy a fantasy about a young, innocent virgin
winning over a self-centered, controlling (abusive) man, no matter how
hot he is.
I honestly don't read romance or BDSM novels
and after considering taking a crack at writing them, I think it's
important for writers to write what they enjoy most, not what's
currently selling best, because then you're just faking it. And who's
got time for faking it?

Hm, yet another three months have passed since my last...
But I'm back with a New Year's resolution. To have a business plan and to implement it in 2013. To step forward with my writing and publishing more boldly, because you can't win if you don't enter.
My little voice tells me to keep writing Ariana's adventures, in subsequent novellas, mostly because she makes me laugh. I'm also developing another series; this one is a sci-fi/suspense one and a complete departure from my Ariana writings. I think it will make a good TV series one day; at least, that's the plan.
